Social benefits

Access to family benefits is granted to all foreigners who are entitled to work in Poland or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. In practice, therefore, if you have a residence permit with the annotation access to the labor market and you live with family members in Poland, you can apply for family allowance.

Family benefits:

Family allowance is granted to one of the parents or the child's legal guardian. The family allowance is due if the family income per person does not exceed the amount of PLN 674.00. Net. The amount of the allowance depends on the age of the child.

PLN 95.00 for a child up to the age of 5;
PLN 124.00 for a child from 5 to 18 years of age;
PLN 135.00 for a child over 18 up to 24 years of age.

Child benefit is income tax free.

In order to receive the allowance, you must submit an application for establishing the right to family allowance and allowances to family allowance.

The benefit period is from November 1 to October 31 of the following calendar year.

Family allowance:

To the family allowance, there are allowances for:

birth of a child - once in the amount of PLN 1000.
childcare during the period of parental leave - is due in the amount of PLN 400. monthly, the child's mother or father, legal or actual guardian.
raising a child alone - is due in the amount of PLN 193.00 per month for a child, but not more than PLN 386.00 for all children. In the case of a child with a disability certificate, the amount of the supplement shall be increased by PLN 80 per child, but not more than PLN 160 for all children.
raising a child in a large family - is due in the amount of PLN 95.00. monthly for the third and subsequent children entitled to family allowance.
education and rehabilitation of a disabled child - is due in the amount of: PLN 90 monthly for a child up to 5 years of age, PLN 110 per month for a child between 5 and 24 years of age. It is entitled to a child with a disability certificate - up to the age of 16 or with a moderate or severe disability certificate, also after the age of 16, but up to the age of 24.
beginning of the school year - in the amount of PLN 100 per child. It is awarded once a year in connection with the beginning of the school year or the annual kindergarten preparation.
for the child to start education at school outside the place of residence - PLN 113 per month per child in the case of living in a place other than the place of residence in which the school is located.
In the case of travel to school in another city (upper secondary or art school with upper secondary level) from your place of residence - in the amount of PLN 69 per month per child.
