Work permits

In order to work in Poland, each foreigner must have a work permit from the employer. If the foreigner does not have a work permit and performs work, the work is considered illegal, which may result in a fine for the employer and deportation for the foreigner.

If you already have legal grounds to stay in Poland, you must remember that they do not entitle you to work.

The basis for working in Poland are:

A work permit is not required in several cases if the foreigner is:

  • graduate of secondary school and full-time university studies;
  • a full-time student;
  • has a valid Pole's Card;
  • is an EU citizen;
